(More customer reviews)This is an amazing little netbook. Although it comes with the stripped-down Windows 7 Starter, it is fairly straightforward to upgrade. I upgraded to W7 Ultimate, although I'm sure Home Premium would be fine. With a full-powered OS, you can take advantage of the fact that the AMD CPU supports up to 4G. I just upgraded to a 4G 1333Mhz sodimm that just blazes. Be aware that a 32-bit OS can only address a little more than 3GB, but it's still worth it. The presence of the HDMI port in a netbook is amazing. To really take advantage of the HDMI port, you really have to upgrade the OS--I couldn't get Starter to support an extended desktop, which kind of defeats the purpose of HDMI for me. Buy this with the assumption that you want to expand it almost immediately, and you'll be pleased. A small caution to those who want to expand the RAM: it appears, at first, difficult to remove the memory cover after loosening the screw. The clips are a little stiffer than one would expect, and it takes a fairly nervewracking application of force to get it off. I've done it twice (once to check the memory type, once to do the install), and once you know what to expect, it's no big deal.
