(More customer reviews)I decided to buy a new machine after I couldn't stand the delays of my 4 year old laptop anymore. I knew I wanted a laptop running Windows 7 that is moderately priced. After looking around I finally settled on this.
Pros:
-great widescreen monitor (16:9), excellent for watching movies and live sports
-lightweight, easy to carry around
-doesn't come with too much preloaded junk, it didn't take any time at all to do the initial cleanup
-numeric keypad in addition to regular querty keyboard
-windows 7 runs extremely smoothly, multitasks well
***most of all***
-Lenovo's battery management software, I cannot say enough great things about this. it extends the life of your battery by only charging to 80%. you can also change to low-power mode easily (turns off all the bells and whistles) if working without a power source. I'm planning on taking this computer to coffee shops and libraries, so knowing that there's a program that will keep my battery from degrading is great! this sealed the deal for me
Cons:
-speakers not nearly loud enough, headphones needed to really enjoy watching movies/tv shows
-left/right click buttons do feel a little cheap, they cut corners there
-only one usb port. may not be an issue to some, but getting a usb extension plug in solves the problem. i use a usb mouse and keyboard while at homeThat being said, I am really glad I made this purchase. Office 2010 runs great. I can open other programs while having flash running in the background. Overall feel of computer is solid with the one previously stated exception. The battery management software is really what sets this apart from other similarly priced machines. I recommend!
