(More customer reviews)Pros: Fastest "single-GPU" video card on the planet (The ATI/AMD 5970 with two GPUs clocks higher average frame rates in some games, but speeds up, slows down, speeds up ... the GTX 580 is more consistent). Works great with highest game settings on a 2560 x 1200 monitor plus a 1280p High-Def TV. Faster than AMD's new 6970 and nVidia has better drivers. 10-20% faster, better cooling than nVidia's GTX 4xx series, better power management & quieter. Zotac uses standard nVidia reference design & has a reputation for reliability. They have a good website and if you register within 30 days, Zotac gives you a lifetime warranty.
Cons: Like other high-end cards, it's power hungry. I upgraded to a 750 Watt power supply just to be safe. Expensive -- you can get more value for your money in a cheaper card by giving up some performance. This one is overkill for many games. But if you want a Maserati ...
