(More customer reviews)I owned the original Klipsch Sub-12 (same model as Sub-12HG except minor cosmetics) and gave it to a friend a couple years ago. I've regretted doing that ever since and have been on the look-out for a powered sub with comparable quality at a competitive price. Needless to say, I haven't had much luck... until the Sub-12HG went on sale for $250!!! You can't find ANYTHING comparable for that price, or even around $300. I'm totally stoked and am going to love every minute I have this turned on. Perfect for music, movies, etc. You can control the amount of power the amp delivers to the sub (gain) and the frequency that is allowed to pass through the built in cross-over (adjustable from 40 to 120Hz). The auto-power switch is also a nice feature since you don't have to constantly hassle with turning off the sub when you are done.
All in all, I couldn't be happier with the quality of another sub in this price range... this is really a $500 sub and that's not MSRP crap! To top it all off, Klipsch offers a 5-year warranty on the sub, 2-year warranty on the BASH amplifier.
