ATEN's CS1784 Dual Link DVI KVMP switch marks a revolutionary step in KVM functionality by combining ATEN's Display Technology with the wide screen graphics resolution of today's 30 inch monitors, supporting resolution up to 3840 x 2400. This unique KVM can increase efficiency and save equipment cost for applications, where high resolution monitors are required: CAD (computer aided design) and CAM (Computer Aided Manufacturing); Desktop publishing and Graphic design; video editing; and gaming, where high video resolution is demanded. (More customer reviews)This is my third Aten KVM, and they've all been good. This one is the best so far. No problems with keyboard and mouse emulation (some KVM's cause boot hang-ups because they don't emulate well), the hotkey swapping is blazing fast, unit is heavy and well-built (lighter units tend to do a "wheelie" because of the weight of the cables coming off the back of them.
My only complaint is lack of response to my request to Aten to sell me a longer cable set - the short ones that come with the unit won't work for many users. There's a couple of longer sets on the Aten website, but requests to purchase those part numbers are being ignored...

The CubiQ CS1644 DVI Dual View KVMP Switch adds a new dimension to DVI KVMs by incorporating dual monitor support and an LED Status panel for a clear, simple method to select and monitor the advanced switching features of the KVM. (More customer reviews)I've used a fair number of other KVMs and had largely given up on ever having the convenience of using one ever again. Some coworkers had shown me an older set of these that worked really well with DVI switching. I really like this KVM. It works exactly the way you would expect, and in my case it took zero configuration.
Currently I switch four computers with this system: Windows 7 with a Geforce GTX 285, a Hackingtosh with an Nividia 9xxx series, a Linux box, and a mac laptop. It works flawlessly for all of them. You really can't say this with any other KVM setup.

(More customer reviews)I have two of these now and they have been working great. This kit includes all the cables. When I added the second switch I lost one of the ports since I connected them together. The only problems I have encountered is when I restart some of my older PowerPC Macs the screen will not show. I have to then disconnect it and use a spare monitor to adjust the video resolution down for it to work again with the switch. This is very annoying, but has only happened with the two older Macs. Also, the blue power LED is very bright.
