(More customer reviews)This is my first posting of a laptop review! This is my third laptop after owning a HP dv5t and lenovo T61. After the display on my HP failed, I was hunting for a decent laptop which dosent burn a huge hole on my pocket. I did quite a bit of research on laptops and finally opted for this one mainly due to the features this offers at these price points. An Intel i5-480M, 500Gigs HD, 4 GB RAM @ $546 looked good to me.
I had purchased this laptop from Fry's electronics for $546 inclusive of taxes & my first impressions of this laptop are pretty good.
Pros:
Weight: Contrary to the claimed weight of 5.72 lbs on Gateway website this laptop weighed only 5.2 lbs with battery (surprising!, maybe I need to check my scales again).
Specs: Good all round specs - i5 core, 500 gigs hd, 4 gb ram, hdmi, 1.3 mp webcam
Gateway at least dosent pre load so many junks as HP or other laptop makers.
Cons:
The one biggest turn off is the keyboard. I am so used to lenovo keyboards, this one seems to be very dull and dosnt give you the right feedback.
