(More customer reviews)Our office has older peripheral hardware that required a 32-bit or lower operating system. After going around in circles with Dell Customer Service regarding our Rewards Points, I found the Vostro we were looking for on Amazon for nearly the same amount of money (a little more here, but worth it since Dell will not sell Vostros to consumers only businesses and will not honor our BUSINESS REWARDS POINTS on business computers!). The computers are quite fast and there is little noticeable difference in the Windows 7 32-bit when compared to my 64-bit machine I have at home. Networking was a breeze and I'm extremely relieved that I no longer have to wear my "I/T" hat to fix buggy/slow/old XP machines. I would highly recommend this box to anyone looking for a lower cost alternative to Dell's Consumer Models.
I should point out that although Office is pre-installed out of the box, you will need your own product code or purchase a product code to run the software (the product code is not included with the purchase). It does come with Office Starter (stripped down versions of Word and Excel), but it is a little misleading to say that the machine 'comes with Office 2010' when, in fact, it really doesn't.
