Accessories:
- Included in the package though not pictured or listed in the item description is an SFF-8088 to SFF-8088 cable ($50+ value) for connecting this enclosure to your SAS enclosure.
- Thumbscrews for screwing your drives in.
Exterior:
- The unit exterior is painted piano black (finger print magnet) but otherwise seems fairly well built with no perceivable flex or rattles.
Performance:
- The power supply included is rated for 150W and seems to power a HP 10K-RPM SAS drive just fine.
- I installed three 1TB SATA drives and performed benchmarks and was able to achieve a combined 180MB/s sustained transfer to an Wiebetech Redport SAS Controller (Read only version of the ATTO H380 SAS Card).
Usability:
- The body is screwed in with thumbscrews for ease of opening.
- There is no eject mechanism so it makes drive removal a pain. (loses 1 star)
