(More customer reviews)For those of you thinking about getting an iPad but wished that it had more functionality the LS800 is perfect for you. Capable of running a full operating system (Windows 7) and handling your multitasking needs, the LS800 puts the iPad and other current tablets to shame...and it's 4 years old. Don't let the 1.2 GHz processor fool you, it's not an atom processor, this thing can handle all of your day to day office apps and productivity tools as well as run photoshop and other processor intensive apps. The manufacturer says the device supports up to 1GB of SO-DIMM DDR2 ram but I've got a 2GB stick in mine and windows recognizes it just fine. The battery life on these are fairly good (about 3 hrs depending on settings) considering you're running a full windows setup. The pen's responsiveness and the writing surface are comfortable with just the right amount of drag for sketching, note taking, etc without causing any fatigue. The only down side is that the screen size is set to 800x600 which may be a bit tight for modern web sites. The resolution looks fine in windows and navigation is easy. These come standard with Wireless A/B/G Atheros cards and built in bluetooth as well as 2 USB 2.0 slots, LAN port, Analog video out, line in/out port. For the sketchers or doodlers out there this is a full WACOM device with 2048 pressure levels of sensitivity. It makes drawing and sketching very easy and the variations in stroke strength really give it that paper look and feel to your drawings.
