(More customer reviews)I recently purchased this machine because I needed a machine with greater power to do some high end rendering of my 3D artwork. This machine has more than filled this role, in fact it has surpassed it. I'm now able to render in mere minutes, what used to take days. I don't game, so this was never a consideration, but videos and streaming media play flawlessly. I've been able to multitask where previously I've had to use multiple computers. Windows 7 is a vast improvement over Vista, but still has a few minor incompatibilities, nothing major, and I've not yet bothered to research a fix for them, so they may be easily resolved.
All in all, for the price, I could not be more happy with the system. It runs quiet, and the built in wireless was a nice touch, as I've run out of ports on my router.

(More customer reviews)I bought this PC shortly after it came out, and it's been a perfect fit for what I wanted from my new computer. The windows 7 cd is included, and setting it up is fairly easy - just start it up with the cd in the drive, and follow the directions from there. Windows 7 boots up in just a couple seconds, compared to at least 30 seconds for my old pc.
The quad-core i5 chip is very fast, and great for multi-tasking. I have 2 monitors set up, and I usually have 4-5 programs running at a time - so far, the pc has never had a problem keeping up. It runs very quietly too.
I haven't tried it for games so you may want to research the video card that it comes with, if you're thinking of using it as a high-performance gaming pc (the card is an ATI Radeon HD 4550 PCIe x16 graphics card). It should be fine for most games. Anyway, I highly recommend this computer, it would be a great fit for home or as a business pc.

HP Pavilion p6730f PC (Black) Review

(More customer reviews)I was pleasantly surprised that HP did not over load the PC with all the usual HP spam software. Worked great out of the box and was up and running with full internet capability and NO driver issues within an hour. I bought this PC for my parents who really only use email, word processing and photos (printing, sorting, etc.). They went from an older amd athlon 64 bit processor (which I built for them over 4 years ago) and the speed of the i3 doesn't even compare. It is super quiet which is a plus and windows 7 is such an improvement over the last batch of windows operating systems. My only complaint was that it did not have a blu ray player, but that was not a deal breaker. The price was right and the speed is unbelievable for the price. I have been building PC's for years and am still running a core 2 duo overclocked to over 3 ghz and unfortunately (for me) lags in performance compared to the out of the box i3 HP. I would recommend installing a video card as the on board graphics is something to be desired, but for my parents it is not an issue. Have only had the pc for a few days, but so far no real complaints. I would recommend this PC to anyone looking to upgrade to 21st century PC usages for email, word processing and general use. I installed microsoft office 2007 in about 10 minutes which is quite impressive considering it is a large program to install. For advanced users, I do recommend altering the msconfig boot options to use all 4 cores and max memory at startup. This will speed up the boot time from over a minute and a half to about 30 seconds for impatient people like myself.
Hope this review helps most people. I would have given 5 stars, but I am not a big fan of onboard video, but like I said, it is for general use and not for gaming.
