(More customer reviews)This computer is somewhat of a cross between a netbook and a regular laptop. It's far bigger than I expected, and I find the screen adequate for light work (word processing, surfing the Internet, some spreadsheet work.) When I get to my office, I just plug it into my external monitor and work off of that. The speed is quite good, the battery length is outstanding (6 hours with the 6-cell battery), and it's a handy little machine. For the price, I think it's a good deal. I don't do any gaming, so this was more than enough for me. I do stream video from Netflix, and this works like a charm.
Here's what I DON'T like:
I hate the touch pad. Often when I'm typing, my cursor will simply disappear because the palm of my hand brushed the touch pad and accidentally caused the mouse to click somewhere else. I don't have large hands -- I have typical female hands. The left and right buttons on the touch pad by contrast are very difficult to push.
The keyboard is rather cheap feeling and took me a while to get used to.
The screen is incredibly glossy, meaning that it's nearly impossible to work outside (too much glare), and I even have problems working under bright lights inside sometimes.
It's heavier than I expected since I got the 6-cell battery. This also creates a protrusion on the back, making it bigger and causing me to buy a larger case for it. However the awesome battery life makes this worth it.
