(More customer reviews)This accessory disables the internal mic. On other panasonics, you can switch the internal mic/external mic. This was compounded for me because once the unit was connected via the screw in connector, it won't come out. I've tried many things, and may have to send the camera in for service.
This said, the sound is great and the unit is well made. If the connector came out more easily, it would be OK to pull the connector when you wanted to use the internal mic.
