The hardest part was opening up the Mac Pro and installing the card in the PCI-Express slot. :-) Drivers loaded simply and configuration page was a cinch. I'VE JUST ADDED TO THIS REVIEW AND 3WARE STILL DOES NOT HAVE FULL SUPPORT DRIVERS. THEY ARE STILL IN BETA FOR MAC PRO WITH LEOPARD. NEEDLESS TO SAY, I HAVEN'T HAD ANY ISSUES, BUT IT WOULD B NICE TO KNOW THAT THEIR SUPPORT AND WEBSITE WAS CLEANED UP A LITTLE BETTER.

The 3ware Sidecar is a 4-bay SATA II hard drive enclosure with hardware RAID capabilities. You can add 4 drives of your choice, up to 750GB each (for a staggering 3TB, in total!), and control the balance between redundancy and storage space, to best suit your needs. The Sidecar supports RAID levels 0, 1, 5, 10, and JBOD. You can even makes changes remotely, with online capacity expansion and RAID level migration. Once installed, drives are hot-swappable, so you also can use the enclosure as a base unit for working with bare drives.
