(More customer reviews)I had a Sony Vaio from 2003 and loved it. But I knew it was time for an updated computer after it went bad a second time. I looked at Consumer Reports and this Acer computer got 57 out of 100 points but the best only got 75 - so not too bad. It said the processor was slow if gaming. But I do some photo stuff, some word documents, and internet so I figured the processor speed wouldn't be too bad - and I haven't noticed anything slow about this computer at all.
So I get the computer and it is so attractive and the perfect size! And it has great speakers and the screen is so crystal clear. Now I realize I'm comparing it to a 2003 model - but still it really is nice and is FAST in everything I've asked it to do. It came with Windows 7 upgrade for free which is being mailed. I've personalized it with my software (Roxio and Office) and have used it a good bit. It has lots of plugs for my 2 printers, track ball, regular size keyboard (although the placement of the keys on this computer is great and I don't really need to add a regular keyboard). I'm really very impressed with this brand and my loyalty to Sony is diminishing a little every day. The old Vaio was about 2,200.00 and this Acer was 450.00! I am very surprised and pleased so far.
