(More customer reviews)I needed two PCI-X slots, and those are hard to find these days in consumer desktops, but the Acer M275 is a business-class machine, and it has them. I would prefer a metal, rather than plastic, clip to secure the cards in the expansion slots. It's not a problem at home now that the cards are installed, but if I were using it at work, where cards can get swapped around a lot, I'd worry about breaking the clip.
Because it's a business box it comes with Windows 7 Pro, which is $80 more retail over Home Premium, and pre-installed from Dell it's an extra $100. With the Acer Veriton, you can consider Windows 7 Pro to be a free upgrade.
For multi-threaded programs the M275 with Intel E7600 would benefit from having a quad-core processor, instead of dual-core, but for most software it's not an issue. Having only two memory slots is definitely a limitation on a 64-bit system.
Bottom line: Recommended, if you can live with dual-core and 4 gig of memory.
