I have yet to do anything on my computer that presented this card with a challange. I can run both of my MMOGs simultaneously with no lag or flicker at all. That was exactly what I bought this card for.

(More customer reviews)I am extremely satisfied with the GTX460 cards from EVGA. I went from a single GTX280 to SLI GTX460 - what a difference. Even the color clarity improved a lot. My only disappointment with this purchase was that one of the cards was already opened and you could tell that it had been installed in someone's machine. Fortunately I haven't had any problems with either card. Because of this I will steer clear of buying anything from Amazon in the future. I usually make all computer related purchases from Newegg. The only reason I ordered off of Amazon was that I received a $150 gift card from my work.

(More customer reviews)I ordered this from NewEgg, but I figured I'd throw my review here as well.
Any way, it doesn't run much hotter than my 8800 GTS 640s did inside my CM Stacker 850, however I am running the 470 in a HAF X with a fan blowing directly to the card. Not sure how much of a difference that makes between the cases. My temps are 10-20 degrees cooler than a lot of sites like Toms and BitTech have been getting as well. Maybe I got lucky and I won't know until I buy the 2nd card later this year...
It plays everything I need it to play, and honestly with this card my OC'd Q6700 is now my bottle neck so I'll have to upgrade to a 1336 board and CP before going SLI. As I said in the title, once these drop to around 200-245 or so they will be a great deal. In the meantime I suppose if you want a guaranteed cool good running NVIDIA card go with the 460 (NOT 465)

Asus nVidia GeForce GT240 - 1 GB DDR3 VGA/DVI/HDMI PCI-Express Video Card ENGT240 SLIENT/DI/1GD3/A Review

(More customer reviews)I recently built a WMC HTPC using an ASUS M4A88TD-V EVO/USB3 motherboard. The motherboard uses an on-board ATI Radeon HD 4250 graphics chipset with 128MB of RAM. I used two Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-2250 tuner cards and an AMD Athlon II X4 600E RT processor.
While my HD picture wasn't bad, I love to tweak things and I thought I could take some of the load off of the CPU by installing a better video card. My only requirement was a passive heatsink to keep noise levels to a minimum.
The card is a beauty and very well built, although it does take up two PCI slots. During Blu-ray playback it actually stayed fairly cool.
The trouble I ran into was an apparently common one. On certain channels I would experience repeated white flashes (picture contrast getting brighter), which made those channels unwatchable.
I found some solutions online, but none of them worked for me. The most common fix was verifying that the video card settings were set so that the application using it would define the video settings and not the NVIDIA drivers. I also tried updating the drivers, removing and reinstalling the drivers and many other things to no avail.
So... as much as I liked the card, I removed it, uninstalled the drivers, went back to the on-board ATI graphics and the white flashes went away. Perhaps I'll try one of the ATI cards with a passive heatsink. However, to be fair, others have also experienced contrast flashing with ATI cards.
