(More customer reviews)I found these when looking for a good pair of headphones and so far they work amazingly. The noise cancellation is great and drowns out most sounds from the outside while making the music your listening to sound better, and on triple A it lasts 40 hours! The highs are very good and the bass will deliver without being overpowering. They are super comfy even after 5 hours they dont crush your ears. Unlike Beats they dont distort the sound and would be great for studio monitoring. They are also tougher than beats, after one year of hours a day they only have a little crack but still sound great.
They also come with a nice hard shell case which will fit in any carry on bag and they look very modern and stylish.
Only one complaint, they leek noise when at higher volumes but not too much.

I also considered buying the Bose Sounddock 10, but I actually preferred the sound on the Dre beatbox. You can also connect other devices such as a dvd player and it also charges your ipod.

(More customer reviews)I had a good listen comparing these to the original Beats. In the end, I must agree with the many others who've tried these, they are MUCH better than the beats. Bass is still predominant, but highs and especially mids are much better represented. I think it's due to the lack of noise canceling, but these are much more lively than the original Beats
At 400$, you're really not paying for sound as much as durability. These are ROCK SOLID, the entire thing is really mostly metal, except the parts with the cushions. I must stress that there are much better offerings from Sennheiser, Beyerdynamic, Ultrasone (google them if you've never heard of them) IN TERMS OF SOUND. But if sound is not as important for you as durability, such that you're not an audiophile but just an average listener. I promise you these will last. Let me say again, ROCK SOLID.
My biggest warning for everyone who is reading this is the comfort factor. Unlike what you've been hearing from others from youtube (there are so many unboxing videos on these already), these are not necessarily comfortable. Let me explain why. Unlike the original Beats and other around ear headphones, these are ON EAR headphones. Usually, ON EAR headphones are built so they can swivel to how much you ears "stick out" if you know what I mean. Like how much you ears wedge out. A well known example of a comfortable ON EAR headphones would be Bose QC3, and they do swivel. NOTE THAT I'M NOT TALKING ABOUT HOW THE BEATS PRO ARE ABLE TO SPIN, WHICH DON'T HELP COMFORT IN ANY WAY. Since these headphones don't swivel, they hurt, and HURT ALOT, for me at least. If you still don't understand me, just imagine the fact that these headphones will flatten an elf's ears towards its head when worn. do you think the elf would be in pain?
I can't listen to these for more than one song, because they hurt so much for me. This is why I didn't give a more detail description of the sound. I would really suggest people interested and potential buyers of these headphones to TRY THEM ON AT BEST BUY. Trust me, it does no harm to take a look at the Best Buy nearest to you. But it's better than getting them and regretting, which almost happened to me.

(More customer reviews)This set sounds great, I would rate the sound 5 stars eeven if it cost double the price. I'm going to end my comments on the sound this way, incredible bass, clarity and very good detail.
However, no matter how good they sound, the poor comfort makes them a lousy choice. I imagine some may find them comfortable, but not many. If you can't stand to wear your headphones, it really doesn't matter how good they sound.
The beats studio, while not sounding as good, are at least comfortable, and far better than the Monster haters would have you believe. Make sure to buy these from Amazon or best buy, so you have 30 days to return them. As much as the sound makes me want to like them, the sore ears make it impossible. Hopefully, Monster will make a revised model like they did with the Studio model. As it stands, few will be able to wear them for long.

HP ENVY 17-1011NR 17.3-Inch Laptop Review

(More customer reviews)At the end of the day performance is the most important measure of success to me and this machine lives up to expectations here - its definately snappy. In regards to games, I've installed Dragon Age, Borderlands, Crysis - all run great at maximum settings. I'm confident this machine will handle my gaming needs for the next couple of years.
Nice fit and finish. Lots of metal bits and overall solid feel. Its not exactly light but for a 17" its respectable. It looks good enough to leave out when company is over. I had some concern buying site unseen because I know the previous envy models didn't quite deliver in this are - but I think overall this version meets the bar. Its not a mac book - but it gets pretty close.
Battery life has been good so far - the extra 9 volt battery is an awesome bonus.
It does have a blu ray drive.
The screen is beautiful - super clear, detailed and bright.
So in the two primary areas that drove me to purchase this vs. other 17" gaming machines - performance and aesthetic - this machine delivers.
I have a few usability complaints though..
The mouse pad. The problem here is that the click buttons are also part of the touch bad - so when go to click on things your clicking finger will move the cursor. This happens often enough to be very frustrating.. maybe a patch will come out that will address. In the meantime I've been having to plug in an external mouse because I can't take it.
The PC does something strange when it sleeps - when you open the lid it will resume but the screen doesn't come back so you have to open and close the lid once again and that will make the screen turn on. Not a big deal but a bug that bothers me. And the lid is a bit of pain to open - no real place to get a good grip and its tight and heavy. Its more like prying it open rather than the nice smooth lid opening experience of the mac book.
Too much cluttering software pre installed and Windows disk not included making a clean install difficult.
The Beats audio is not that exciting - but i didn't expect it to be. Sounds like a laptop to me at the end of the day.
