(More customer reviews)This is a good, reliable and solid MB for home servers even though the technology is a bit old (~10 years old). I have 4 of this MB right now: 2 are running in Linux servers (Redhat Linux 9 and Fedora 10), 1 MB is for a desktop PC to replace my aging HP Pavilion and the 4'th MB is a spare (just in case).
Several items that I learned from experience: 1) You WILL NEED an eATX PC chassis regardless of what the above says. The 12" X 13" MB dimensions will definitely preclude the use of an ATX PC case. (I bought an ATX chassis thinking that this MB would fit and I was so WRONG.) 2) You will need an EPS power supply. I am using Coolmax model M-500B PSU's for all 3 PC's. 3) You may need an EPS12V extension cable to connect the 12V from the PSU to the MB. This is dependent on how far the PSU connector is from the MB connector. I use a CABLEHERO-AD10 which is sold by AMAZON. 4) The CPU fans are 60mm X 60mm X 25 mm in size. The 2 of them create a steady whine which you may not like if you have the PC in an area that you like it to be quiet. You can easily replace the fans with quieter ones since they are designed for quick replacement. The fans are not screwed to the heat sink. Instead, the fans have plastic clips which can allow hotswapping.
You can find other MB's with higher processing power; but, this MB has had a good track record and is 99% Intel hardware (the SCSI controller is made by Adaptec).
