(More customer reviews)I purchased this camera to set up on a wireless network at my house. Not being a network tech person, I had no idea how to get it up and working.
I e-mailed Edimax and was connected with a very nice lady in tech support. After a couple e-mails I called her and she was able to walk me step by step through getting the camera up and working wirelessly.
She also suggested the dynamic DNS service that I could get free to have a URL to type in rather than a number.
I was extremely pleased with the level of customer service I received.
Now the camera is working. In Internet Explorer there is the option of two way sound...very strange (but fun) to sit in a room away from the computer and have a conversation with friends who could see me. In the Firefox browser the sound doesn't work.
I love the pan and tilt option, since I have cats I can scroll around the room and see where they are sleeping or what they are up to.
The camera is grainy in low light situations (as most webcams seem to be) but does well in brighter light.
I'm still playing with it and haven't even used the motion detection or FTP and e-mail alert system yet. It even has the option of taking a snapshot or recording a clip of video.
A very nice camera with a great company that stands behind it!
