I bought the RXA3000 for stereo playback of classical, cultural and folk music. My decision was finalized by the RXA3000 capacity to bi-amp my Martin Logan Vista ES speakers.
That arrangement delivers 236 WRMS at 4 Ohms x2 = 472 WRMS and more, below 4 ohms, into each speaker. (I promise not to crank the Saint-Saens Organ Symphony.)
Surprisingly, all that power appears to offer transparent clarity and an inaudible noise floor to chamber groups and soloists. On many CDs, I can hear the performer breathing.
Thanks to a helpful Yamaha technician, I finally deciphered the 155 page owners' manual. The secondary, tiny 10-function remote control offers effortless operation.
I would have preferred a sexy front-plate on the Leviathan.
The effortless power and clear sound entrances me with musical delights.
