This PC is a new purchase for me and I was drawn to the technical specifications. I like the machine so far, yet within a couple of days, one of the front panels (covers the DVD) popped off and the spring holding it flew down into the case. The rest of these panels are likely not far behind in popping off and/or breaking. The whole front panel is cheap and flimsy. This is my only complaint in the first week.
I've added my own video card and intend to upgrade to Windows 7 shortly.
I've seen other reviews and forum posts about the lack of Asus technical support, so I haven't even tried contacting them so I shouldn't rate their current performance. I had heard that ASUS offered an upgrade kit from Vista to Windows 7, but their site didn't help me at all - other than a dead-end web page that states the merits of upgrading to Windows 7 (not even an affiliate link to Microsoft is on this page, making the page of little use). The ASUS site's poor usability provided only minor frustration.
