(More customer reviews)As a college student, I was looking for a laptop that wasn't too expensive but still had good performance. This Satellite L655-S5065 has the new Intel i3 processor, a 320GB hard drive, 4GB of RAM, and it came at a great price! I chose a Toshiba because after hearing of the countless stories of my fellow students having problems with their laptops, I was looking for a brand that wouldn't have hardware, battery, freezing, or crashing problems, without paying $1500 for a Mac.
I love everything about my new laptop. The fullsize keyboard is great; the keys aren't too soft or squished together. The mouse pad is very responsive and has many of the scrolling and zooming features you'd find on a Mac, plus you can turn it off to prevent bumping it while typing. The battery life is up to 6 hours, which is considerably more than what I found when researching other laptops. Since I'm not planning on carrying my laptop with me to class every day, the weight is not a problem. The 15.6" screen is also very sharp and clear. The laptop has a beautiful red finish, but it does show fingerprints and smudges. For me this is not a problem because I take the time to wipe it down with a cloth but for some people it may be annoying. Finally, the speed is great, I've never noticed it running slow or taking a long time to open programs. I recommend this laptop to anybody looking for a reliable PC at a good price.
