(More customer reviews)I use this projector for demonstrations of software and such to small groups (usually 3 or 4 people) and it's perfect for that matter. What I like is:
- Portability: It's small, and although the power supply is almost as big as the projector, this model comes with a handy carrying case, which is perfect for transporting the unit and all it's components.
- Ease of use: Just plugged into the laptop and played (Vista Ultimate); no need to install any software.
- Picture quality: You have to know what your getting off this trade, meaning less lumens but much more hours and no need to replace lamps. The brightness is enough to fit small group presentations (which is my company's bread and butter) although it may not be fit to a bigger audience. I would recommend to be aware of this and purchase another (Infocus, perhaps?) with more lumens to host large group presentations.
- Form factor: It looks very professional on its glossy black color. True it can hold a fingerprint stain (or two) but it comes with a cloth for cleansing purposes.
- Sound: It's not surround sound system, but I think it's a nice feature to have on this kind of device, although I don't plan to use it extensively for that matter.
- Features: USB port is a plus for portable presentations that don't requiere a laptop; Remote Control works out-of-the-box and provides aid with presentations played from a USB device connected to the device. DVD connectors that makes it easy to just plug a DVD player and play a movie or so, without hassles.
All that said, again I have to stress that it's meant to be used indoors for personal use or small groups (my take is no more than 10 people); If you need to hold larger audiences or use outdoors presentation you may want to consider other brighter (and bigger) options.
